Old Man (Inoue version)
This portrait of an older Japanese man was part of an exercise I did on the affect of a specific artist’s style on a base portrait. You can see the results here. For this portrait, the artist influencer is Takehiko Inoue, a Japanese manga artist. As I mention in my exercise, in the limited, small sample size, there were no radical differences among the four artists I chose. However, I thought that the Inoue version had an interesting focus on the eyes, which are also a feature of Inoue’s manga work.
