The Last Avenger: Coming soon?

There are so many AI-generated fake movie concepts, mashups and alternate universe creations floating around out there, that we’re probably just about at the point of total saturation.

Some of the most meme’d are the take offs on versions of movies directed by Wes Anderson, known for his quirky characters, visual symmetry and muted color grading in films such as The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou and The Grand Budapest Hotel. Proving just as meme-worthy are homages to Alejandro Jodorowsky, the Chilean-French avant-garde filmmaker who might be best known for his failed adaptation of Dune.

Midjourney user Johnny Darrell imagined what Jodorowsky might have done with the sequel to Tron in Jadorowsky’s Tron. You can also dig into the Midjourney Official Facebook page and see many users who offer their take on the Wes Anderson movies they’d like to see.

Here’s my modest attempt to join in the fun. If MCU top honcho Kevin Feige is out there, consider this my official pitch deck for The Last Avenger, the story of Steve Rogers, aka Captain America, awakening from a cryogenic deep sleep in the year 2105.

Steve Rogers awakens to find what’s left of mankind pitted in a post-apocalyptic fight for survival against a robot army that has achieved technological singularity and won’t stop until the last human is eradicated.

He is greeted by Celinda, the great granddaughter of Sharon Carter, who was the niece of Steve’s 1940s love interest Peggy Carter.

She introduces Rogers to a group of rag-tag rebels led by the smart-assed Rafe, who doesn’t trust Rogers, at first, but later becomes his bestie.

But can they beat the machines, which are led by the powerful Agi, a cyborg created years earlier in an artificial general intelligence experiment at MIT that went out of control?

Mankind’s last hope may rest with Siri, who stumbled upon a possible way to beat Agi. But will she get the information to Rogers in time?
